“I believe in the fulfillment of self and will strive to contribute my share to the progress of mankind.”
For the Sisters of Alpha Sigma Tau, these are more than words in the Sorority’s Creed; they are a way of life. Day after day, community to community, our members strive to make their world a better place. They tap into their life experiences as women and as Alpha Sigma Taus, giving back to their communities through philanthropy and hands-on service.
National Philanthropy: Women's Wellness Initiative
Alpha Sigma Tau’s National Philanthropy is the Women’s Wellness Initiative. This far-reaching philanthropy empowers members to impact women's wellness in their communities through fundraising and service projects.
The Women’s Wellness Initiative also provides opportunities for community service and philanthropy that are relevant to Alpha Sigma Tau’s mission.
Through the Initiative, members and chapters can have an impact on their local communities as well as globally, and have the independence to choose projects most relevant to them. They work directly with nonprofits in their own backyards – conducting philanthropy, service projects, and other activities that benefit women where our members live, work, and go to school.
